We recently returned from a quick, impromptu trip to the Greek island of Kefalonia.

We were only there for five days, but we managed to see a lot and also get a fair amount of general relaxation.

We stayed in the small village of Svoronata, just a 10-minute drive south of the airport. It’s a tranquil area, but a good base for exploring the nearby area.

We explored the local life, the local beaches, and found some great places to eat. And, we took a trip to the main town of Argostoli, where we’d heard we could see the turtles in the harbour. We were not disappointed. Just look for the fishermen, and there you will find the turtles.

Also, we managed to capture the lunar eclipse. After watching an amazing sunset, we looked in the direction of the moonrise, only to see a storm brewing. However, after waiting patiently, the moon rose above the storm clouds, and I captured the eclipse whilst the lightning was bouncing around in the clouds.

We had a great time, but it just wasn’t long enough. Here are a few images from our trip.
