Four Waterfalls Photography Walk - Brecon Beacons
Today, we drove to the Brecon Beacons to walk the Four Waterfalls trail with some good friends of ours. It’s been a little while since we’ve been to Wales, and driving the long, smooth roads with incredible vistas all around made me think we really need to visit more often. We arrived at Gwaun Hepste car park and set out on the 5.5-mile circular trail. The day had started quite chilly, but as the sun climbed in the sky, so did the temperature. The trek through the woodland, s

Exploring the Acropolis in Lindos, Rhodes
We’ve recently returned from a short break on the Greek island of Rhodes. We stayed in the picturesque village of Lindos with its cobbled streets and white-washed buildings. But, more on Lindos in another post. Situated atop a 116m cliff in Lindos is the Acropolis. Just before sunset one evening, we climbed over 250 steps to visit the site. The views from the top are incredible, and walking in the footsteps of ancient Greeks and Romans, dating back to the 6th century BC (when

Trekking the Volcán de Tajogaite in La Palma
During our recent visit to the Canarian island of La Palma, we visited the Volcán de Tajogaite . Tajogaite is the most recent volcano to have erupted on the volcanic island. It famously erupted on September 19th 2021, and didn’t cease until 85 days later. As the lava flowed towards the sea, around 1,600 buildings were destroyed or damaged, including over 1,300 homes. More than 7000 people were evacuated. To visit Tajogaite, we took an organised tour with La Palma Natural as

Prescott Hill Climb Season Finale 2025
Today was the season finale at Prescott Hill Climb near Cheltenham. It was a cold, blustery day, but there was plenty of action throughout the day to distract from the biting wind. With flying wheels, flying signage, big crashes, and oil slicks, the marshals were certainly kept busy. Here are a few of my images from an action-packed day...

Travel Photography in Kupari, Croatia
A few weeks ago, we visited a town called Kupari in Croatia. Kupari is a former tourist resort south of Dubrovnik. It was once a popular destination for Yugoslavian tourists but was abandoned during the Croatian War of Independence from 1991 to 1995. The resort is now in a state of disrepair, but it is still a popular destination for tourists and photographers. The abandoned hotels and other buildings, with their crumbling walls and overgrown vegetation, offer a haunting remi

Beautifully Bleak Photography on Cleeve Hill
It's not even the end of November, but already we've had snowfall (unusual at any time of year now) courtesy of storm Arwen. This morning was just wet and miserable. This afternoon, however, the winds picked up and, the clouds started to part. So I hurried to the top of Cleeve Hill to see if I could capture the last rays of light illuminating the snow before sunset. It was bitterly cold and the winds were drifting the snow and it was bleak on Cleeve Hill but I find it really
